Funky Deli – Wine, Design & High-Fidelity Sound

Funky Deli, located on Brunnenstraße in Bilk, Düsseldorf, is a high-end wine bar operating under the culinary vision of Michelin-starred chef Lukas Jakobi.

The concept combines fine wines, refined cuisine, and a carefully curated interior design. Our mission was to create a sound system that matches this level of craftsmanship — subtle, precise, and emotionally engaging.

For this project, we implemented a compact yet powerful high-fidelity setup consisting of:

• 2 HiFi Horns
• 2 HiFi Hornys

Designed not to dominate the space — but to elevate it.

The Challenge

Unlike a club or performance venue, a high-end wine bar demands restraint and nuance.

The sound needed to:

• Complement conversation rather than compete with it.
• Deliver warmth and depth at low to medium listening levels.
• Preserve musical detail and dynamics.
• Integrate seamlessly into the sophisticated interior.

The Solution

We installed 2 HiFi Horns as the primary stereo image source, delivering:

• Natural midrange reproduction.
• Airy high-frequency detail.

To create a fuller, room-filling sound, 2 HiFi Hornys were strategically positioned to provide:

• Even distribution throughout the bar.
• A cohesive and immersive listening field.
